Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year everyone, we hope you all had a fantastic Christmas break and are ready to get back to it.
They say time flies, we’re already into our 2nd week of January and we have been pretty busy already since we opened up again last Monday morning. We’ve already seen over 300m2 of deck leave the warehouse along with making a couple of site visits to projects where we have supplied deck too.
So what does 2020 have in store for CDI? Well we start the year, as we have done for the last few years, with an early visit down to the National Selfbuild & Renovation Centre in Swindon. This show will run from Friday 31st January until Sunday 2nd February. Paul will be on the stand for the 2 days to answer any questions you may have regarding Lewis Deck and how it will help your new self build project. March is our busiest month, and the one our wives don’t like very much, as we have our 2 biggest trade shows of the year with Futurebuild at ExCel, London (3rd – 5th) followed closely after by the Homebuilding & Renovation Show at the NEC in Birmingham (26th – 29th). Both of us will be at these shows to talk the talk.
We then jump into May and another Self Build Show in Swindon (15th – 17th) and then the Build-It Live Show in Bicester in early June (5th – 7th) where Chris will be leading the line for us.
The second half of the year is still a little up in the air as to what shows we are planning on getting involved in. We have done the Harrogate Homebuilding & Renovation Show in the past so there is a small chance we do this again and there is the odd additional show in London that just maybe we may grace with our presence.
This year will also see more developments on our website along with the other social media platforms that we are on.
If you haven’t already seen our social media sites you can now find us on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and also LinkedIn. We do try and post as much as we can letting you know what we are up to and what we have been and are getting involved in. On these platforms we will keep you up to date with extra shows we may be signing up to as well as letting you know of any new things that are appearing on here, on our website.
These platforms are also great places for you to leave your questions or comments on what you would like us to take about so if there is something that you wish us to discuss then please let us know.

Q
What are the Lewis Deck sheet sizes?
AQ: What sheet sizes are held in stock for delivery within a few days after order? A: We stock 2500mm and 1300mm sheets. These are all 630mm wide and 16mm deep. Deliveries are made via the pallet network directly to site. The smaller sheets are aimed at small bathroom renovation projects and can be supplied in small numbers via TNT. 2.5* and 1.3m sheets allow for the 100mm overlap to occur over a joist, with joist centres being either 300mm, 400mm, 600mm, 800mm*, 1200mm and 2400mm*. (*2.5m sheet only) For larger projects we are able to produce bespoke sheet sizes if required, please get in contact to discuss other options for sheet sizes.

Q
Why don't my Lewis sheets interlock like they do in the video?
AQ: Why don't my sheets interlock like they do in the video? A: The sheets have two sides (one printed, one plain), the dovetails on either side are different widths, it is then necessary to alternate the sheets print up and then print down.
QIs this a question?
AIf it is, this is an answer.
